The Portland Homeschool Partnership is a program of Portland Public Schools and is available to all students residing within Ionia County and all school districts located in counties that are contiguous to Ionia County.
All classes in the partnership, Portland Public Schools, and PACE are available to all students enrolled with Portland Public Schools. If you are currently a Portland Public School student, please see your building principal or counselor if you would like to take any of our Partnership classes.
What is a Homeschool Partnership? Partnerships are a collaboration between parents, Public School Districts and the community. The goal of the partnership is to connect homeschool families with each other and maximize the resources available in the community and through Portland Public School. The partnership is organized by homeschool families with the support of the local school district providing resources to families. PPS works with these families to determine the types of courses needed and the community partners that we use.
What classes are offered? Students, grades K-12, sign up as part-time Portland students. All classes offered will be considered non-essential courses, and will not include any core subjects: language arts (reading, spelling, English grammar, writing, literature), arithmetic, science, history, and federal and state government. Partnership classes are virtual classes that blend a valuable learning experience with one of our many Community Partners. If preferred, all Partnership classes can be taken completely virtual. All of these courses are completely free.

Enrollment for 2017-2018 school year is open from July 1, 2017 - September 12, 2017
